Comic Relief 2021-2025 (BBC Studios for BBC One)

Edit of various inserts and items contributing to Comic Relief 2025. I have been asked to work on this important show for many years, and in 2025 have been responsible for the delivery of the contingency show as well as the overnight edit of the ‘best of’ highlights show for transmission the following afternoon.

Rip Off Britain (December 2024 - BBC Current Affairs for BBC One)

Providing relief help for three weeks on BBC One’s flagship daytime show exposing scams and championing consumer rights issues. Working both remotely and on-site, this job involved initial construction of stories from briefs provided by producers, receiving notes on style and content – including potential legal issues - and suggesting where coverage is lacking or where graphics may be needed, and generating those as required.

Children in Need 2021 -2024 (BBC Studios for BBC One)

Video edit of a plethora of transmission material required to deliver the live telethon of the UK’s most recognised children’s charity. Whatever needs doing is achieved with speed, accuracy and good humour.  The evening raised £33.5m during a cost-of-living crisis.

Paris 2024 Paralympic Games (August to September 2024 - Olympic Broadcasting Services)

Successful edits of highlights packages of various sports for world feed, requiring extremely fast turnarounds to meet very tight deadlines to send to worldwide broadcast rights holders with 4.5bn viewers.

Team GB Homecoming - TBI Media for BBC One

Overnight delivery of the tidy and edit of music performances (with BAFTA Award winning director Ollie Bartlett), plus opening and closing sequences and graphics supply for fast-turnaround of the National Lottery’s homecoming celebration of Team GB’s achievements at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Match of the Day (2011 - present: BBC Sport for BBC One)

12th season on the team, playing a key role as Lead Editor, aiding the programme’s transition from Avid to Premiere Pro, supporting production of fast-turnaround edits for late-evening transmission of Premier League and Champions League highlights.  Also editing games and features as circumstances require.

Bargain-Loving Brits In The Sun (Blakeway North & Zinc Media for Channel 5)

Part of the team which produced multiple episodes of the popular franchise following the ins, outs and shake-it-all-abouts of life for sun-seeking ex pats in Spain, and the myriad of traders seeking to make a living in Britain’s seaside resorts.

The One Show (September 2014 to present : BBC Current Affairs for BBC One)

Ad hoc edit, colour grade and sound mix of various VT inserts for the BBC’s flagship early peak magazine show The One Show with fast turnarounds to meet tight deadlines. Responsibilities included delivery of AS-11 files for transmission, ensuring best practice always followed.

The Answer Run (Feb-Apr 2024: BBC Studios Entertainment for BBC One)

Part of the team which established the template for a new Jason Manford-fronted gameshow, remotely working with Edit, Series and Executive Producers at BBC Scotland to ensure final delivery of an ultimately successful daytime series to completion.

Intensive liaison with remote edit producer to successfully construct and polish archive sequences with contributors for major series for primetime slot in late 2023

Eurovision Welcomes The World (May 2023: TBI Media for BBC One)

Edited and managed the final delivery of a major multi-camera concert for fast-turnaround transmission, with additional responsibility for preparing and delivering press clips for the UK and Ukrainian media outlets.

We Are England (BBC England for BBC Two)

Editing remotely, working directly with an Edit Producer, to edit a hard-hitting documentary for BBC about mental health in the construction industry.
