Returned to the North West after working in London for 20 years.
Fluent in Avid, and Adobe Premiere.
Now have 2 Avid edits suites at home and a fast broadband for dial in remote working.
Very used to working alone, working to a brief, or sharing an Edit Producer.
Mostly work in the Manchester area, through BBC, ITV and Indies at Media City.
I retain contacts and accommodation in London and am happy to travel.
Spent 6 months in 2019 working in London and Brighton.
Often to be found working in Leeds, Birmingham and Cardiff.
Am based in in Warrington, a modest town blessed by exits.
5 mins from the East Lancs, M62 and M6, so am very accessible.
Became a freelance editor in 2001 after working as a Staff editor at m2 television in Soho and Camden.
Since then worked in a variety of fields, a few corridors and under the stairs all over the country.
Am quite inclined to make compelling, intelligent half decent very watchable television.
Back in the era of tape I onlined many shows.
These days through work availability I mostly do offline editing, though I regularly cut VT and finish pieces that are then going straight to broadcast.
Quick enough to cut sport highlights, and mix cameras live for stage screens, creative enough for a Promax Award for an MTV/Osbournes promo, and popular enough to be constantly rebooked.
I don't mind finger clickers, but no arm punchers please unless you got rhythm, or are a fully ticketed masseur.
